Setting healthy boundaries is a powerful way to take control of your life and prioritize your well-being. Remember that YOU deserve to be treated with love and respect, and that its ok to put yourself first.

I have worked with so many women who couldn’t say no and allowed their life to be dictated by someone else's choice. And I have been that person who tried to say no but couldn’t. I got fed up of asking, and just did what I knew would keep the peace. It was easier to just say yes so as not to rock the boat, to avoid the drama. Keeping the peace even though my needs were neglected, became my priority. However, I paid a high price for this.

I had no quality of life. I felt I was just drifting through life. I had no focus other than keeping the peace. Who was I living for? My confidence plummeted. I felt a lot of anger and resentment. I felt powerless and a victim. I became anxious about everything and felt so low and unappreciated. I tried to rationalise my behaviour, that I was being compassionate and kind and it was important to me that others needs were put first. The toll on me mentally, physically and emotionally was too much and my health suffered dramatically.

I knew that in order to come out of this I had to make a choice. I had to make a decision and take action even though the thought of it made me physically sick. I worked tirelessly on my mindset, on doing things for me (self-love was an alien concept) and through my mindset work, meditation and guidance from a Coach, I made a decision that enough was enough, and the rest is history.
